Evidence for God’s Existence

Introduction
75% of people that were raised in the church that go to college walk away from the faith. The main reason is they don’t know why Christianity is true. You can’t start teaching kids how they know the Bible is the word of God when they're in high school. You have to start at an early age. “How do we know this happened” instead of giving an answer like “The Bible says so” say “ We have many accounts describing and confirming this particular event”. Let’s think a five year old is asking a question about the resurrection. Instead of giving a complex answer give an answer like
“ We have many people that witnessed this and died horrible deaths for it”. To be clear this is not a parenting book. This is so young people can get the idea of the evidence and the truth For God’s existence. Hopefully with God’s help this can help anybody who is on a quest for truth.
Understanding the Christian Faith
What are Christians called to do? Unfortunately many young believers don’t know the answer to this basic question. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19) This is what every Christian is called to do. Most atheist and even Christians themselves don’t understand the fundamentals (requirements) of being a Christian. In order to understand this book you need to know basic truths about Christianity. Not that there is one God because everyone knows that. I mean basic history and the simple evidence for Christianity. For example, the people that do understand Christianity, the majority of them hate us because of what the Bible says in Leviticus 18:22 about homosexuality which most Christians don’t even know about this verse. Now many of you might be wondering “What does this do with apologetics”. Knowing the Bible is a part of apologetics. If you want to be strong in you faith you must know that basis of what you believe. Most atheists know the Bible better than we do, which to me is an embarrassment to God’s people. 1 in 5 people who go to church don’t read their Bibles. We will get into why this all matters in later chapters.
Intelligent Design
Obviously our entire religion would be false if there was no God. But is there any credible evidence for his existence? Or are we just blindly following a non-existent God? In my opinion there is massive evidence for the existence of an all powerful, eternal, and loving God.
One of the best arguments for the existence of God is the teleological argument. This is the oldest but most convincing argument for God. The Earth and the universe itself shows that someone must have created it. For example our DNA. DNA is a special code located in your cells nucleus. This code makes you different from every other living thing on Earth. If you were to take all of the DNA out of your body and stretch it out it would go from here to the sun over 600 times! That's a lot of information that's inside of you. So I pose the question of, if there is a code inside all of us shouldn’t there be a coder? Me being a Christian would say yes but let's look at the atheist's perspective. The average atheist would say it was all by a random process. They would say that what appears to be design but it isn’t design but rather an illusion of some sort. I would go on to argue that first off how would life start off without some sort of guidance. I would add how would such a random process such as natural selection make such a complex code and for what reason would evolution guide life forms into making such a complex code. When you have a design you would assume there's a designer correct? So why when it comes to design scientist block their common sense and just assume that God had nothing to do with it? This is only because they block that out as a legitimate possibility.
Were not going to get into how the universe started but rather who or what started it. Why do Christinans believe that God has to have created it? Why can’t we just be reasonable and except the popular belief that the universe was a mistake? Its because time and space are so magnificent in their essence. How would a mistake become such a beautiful and diverse universe. All the simple things that could have happened to change the expansion rate witch would have meant us not existing. Or how far our planet is from the sun. If that changes we wouldn’t be here. Or the perfect balance of gravity, if that would have changed we wouldn’t be here. And all that is a mistake? I believe this can only point to a creator. A powerful being that created the universe and guides every natural action in it. The atheist would then ask the question,”If God created man who created God?” To me it’s funny how atheist continue to try and find alternative explanations to intelligent design. Obviously the Bible is clear that the Christian God has always existed so therefore he is outside of time. If God were apart of time that would mean he would have a beginning and an end. So then I would ask the atheist, which makes more sense, nothing creating nothing out of nothing or someone creating something out of nothing.
The common atheist realizing that his arguments aren’t that reasonable will go on to say “ Well what about the multiverse? If that theory is true isn’t the existence of God unnecessary?” First off if that theory is true that doesn’t prove God does not exist. Just because it may be unnecessary for God to exist doesn't mean he doesn’t exist. When it comes to the multiverse theory I find it very unreasonable for an atheist to believe. The reason I think that is because they claim to be the beacons of reason and evidence but they themselves have not on viable evidence for this belief. It takes more faith to believe that then to accept the BIble. We can’t even see half of the universe we are in so how are we going to assume there are millions of others out there. This is a very weak argument that I almost totally dismiss as a reasonable explanation.
Conclusion
In conclusion I find the existence of God the most reasonable explanation for the existence of the universe and why we are here. I attempted to make this as simple as possible for the common Christian. There is so much more evidence and arguments for the existence of God. I decided that it’s not necessary to add that in here, because what I have written should already explain the existence of God. I pray that whoever reads this will not only just come to Christ but grow in a relationship with him. I pray that you will spread the good news to everyone who is not saved.
