The Mormon Lie

Introduction
Since we live in Utah we find it important to discuss the issue at hand. To begin with, we find it essential that people hear the truth about LDS religion. The mormon religion continues to hide the truth from its followers and we find it important to explain the truth about the actual gospel. For starters, the Book of Mormon many times states unhistorical fact and directly contradicts the Bible. Unfortunately the church’s followers are unaware and sometimes ignore the evidence. However The LDS church is a lying powerful cooperation that lies and brain washes its followers.
The so called Prophet
For beginners, Joseph Smith was a liar, thief, and had 40 wives telling them that he sealed them to eternity. Now there is already a problem with this . Now the average Mormon would argue that Biblical prophets had multiple wives. This is taken out of context. First of all, God never supported such acts but instead discouraged it and even punished this behavior. For example, God punished Solomon because his many wives. But set all that aside this is not clearly a sin in the Bible. What is a sin is when Joseph Smith made false accusations that if people give hive money that God will give them crops and water. Now it’s very clear in the Bible that lying is a sin. Now of course, everyone has lied so why couldn't God just forgive him? While this is true it’s just ignoring the problem at hand. The difference is that Joseph Smith never repented for his sins. In fact he made them a part of their doctrine. To account for his struggle with lust he made a law that every man must be a polygamist. This was a rule until the l when Utah was trying to become a state. This law was only for convenience and there are multiple occasions of this. The mormon church continues to conceal the truth about its prophet. But this only the beginning part. One of the biggest reasons why I don’t believe in the Book of Mormon is the fact that Joseph Smith copied it from multiple sources.
So Called Christians
This is the thing most of my LDS friends debate about. Recently the LDS church has taken steps to become more Christian. Although most people now consider Mormons Christians this is just simply not true. In order to be a Christian you need to believe what Christians believe. That’s logical, isn’t it? For some people it isn’t. What the LDS church attempts to do is to hide some of their key doctrines that contradicts the very essence of the Bible. Instead of accepting the obvious they continue to make excuses. For example, they say that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. They say that it goes parallel with the Bible but this again isn’t true. I would also add Jesus coming to America in my opinion, is pushing it a little. That’s besides the point that I’m making. Trying to delude people into thinking your religion is something other than a brainwash cult is for one, evil and destroying the lives of many people who are struggling to find the truth.
Even if you agree with the points I’ve made that still doesn’t mean that Mormonism isn’t Christianity. So what makes Mormonism not Christianity? The main reason I hold this position is because of the LDS doctrine that states that their are other Gods."Hence, the doctrine of a plurality of Gods is as prominent in the Bible as any other doctrine. “It is all over the face of the Bible . . . Paul says there are Gods many and Lords many . . . but to us there is but one God--that is pertaining to us; and he is in all and through all," (History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 474). "In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 5). The so called prophet also said, “In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it.” Clearly Mr.Smith believed this as a doctrine which is clearly against the Bible. 6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and ihis Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:j“I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god (Isaiah 44:6). These two views can’t both be true. One of us is right. In fact the Book of Mormon disagrees with Joseph himself! 28 Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God?29 And he answered, No. (Alma 11:28-29) This is truly sad. Your own dang book disagrees with your doctrine. You can make all the excuses you want. This pretty much puts the cat in the box on the issue of Mormonism being Christianity.
So Called Evidence
One of the missionaries I had a discussion with attempted to give me evidence for Mormonism. She turned me to a website called fair mormon. It states here,” In their view there should be archaeological remains indicating a Christian presence in the ancient New World. How, exactly, would an archaeologist distinguish a Christian-owned pot from that of a non-Christian? What would a Christian pot look like? Also keep in mind that according to the Book of Mormon the New World “Christians” were a persecuted minority who were wiped out over fifteen hundred years ago. How much archaeological evidence would we really expect to have survived the intervening centuries?” This is argument has several flaws. First off, pots wouldn’t be the evidence needed. If the native Americans were truly Christian or Mormon there would at least be some group of them holding to these beliefs right? Archaeologist find no evidence of this. Using a pot as an example is simply unfair. No one that has any sense of reason would say such a thing. In fact according to Professor Paul E. Minnis, from the University of Oklahoma: Department of Anthropology writes, "It is safe to say that few, if any, professional archaeologists, except those who are practicing Mormons themselves, view the Book of Mormon as a document with any archaeological value." This is devastating to The LDS claims. He goes on to say "Similarly, I do not believe that present day North American Indians can be traced back as descendants of the Israelites -- this in fact contradicts all that presently believed in archaeology about the Asian origins of indigenous American population.” This is completely true. Almost every historian and archaeologists say that the Native Americans came over a land bridge during the ice age. To say that an older alternative theory that has zero evidence is true just means that you don’t want to find the truth. I continued to read the website and the summary just gave me more leeway for my argument. “Those who make claims that there is no archaeological evidence supporting the Book of Mormon are right in one respect–we don’t know where the cities mentioned in the Book of Mormon are located. Such information may yet be discovered, but not discovering it is just as likely given the lack of cultural continuity and toponyms, as well as the epigraphic and iconographic uncertainties. To dismiss the Book of Mormon on archaeological grounds is short-sighted, as continuing discoveries provide ever more evidence that is consistent with the book. Archaeology is not a dead science, and it continues to make new inroads that are applicable to Book of Mormon studies.” That’s the entire summary of the article. The so called archaeological evidence is just a bunch of minor coincidences. The missionare would probably bring up the fact that Joseph Smith wasn’t educated enough to figure these things out. It doesn’t take a lot of education to copy a book from another person. We’ll address this issue in a later chapter. The point is that the arguments that Mormons make for their beliefs are not good evidence. They use their own book as evidence and that my friends is the reason why I refuse to believe such a blinding forceful religion.

Hi I was just wondering if I can ask a few questions
Now chatting with: Morgan and Sarah
Sarah
9:08 PM
Hi Ethan! We would love to answer your questions. (:
Ethan Foster
9:10 PM
Do you as Mormoms believe that you are Christians
Now of course we already know the answer to this but it’s still important to figure out the LDS perspective on this.
Morgan
9:10 PM
Yes, we do consider ourselves as Christians :)
Ethan Foster
9:11 PM
Do you believe there are other gods
You can see here that I’m going to attempt to trap the missionaries with their own beliefs. Notice how they try and dodge my question but I don’t give up that easily.
Sarah
9:11 PM
We believe in and follow one God.
Ethan Foster
9:14 PM
So you are saying that Mormonism says that God the Father is the only God out there
Sarah
9:16 PM
We worship one God, God the father. However we do believe that we have potential to become like Him.
What the missionaries try to do is to attempt sugar coating their beliefs. They realize that I won’t let the topic go so they answer it in the most Christian way possible.
Ethan Foster
9:19 PM
Okay but that is contrary to Christianity
This belief is obviously not Christian. Simply saying that you disagree with it doesn’t make it true. Notice they ignore the verse I sent them and just continue to use the brainwashed tactics they’ve been taught.

We don't think so. If you would like to read more about our beliefs on that, we can send you a link to an article that talks more about it. (:

Here is another link to what we believe about becoming like God. "Exaltation is eternal life, the kind of life God lives. He lives in great glory. He is perfect. He possesses all knowledge and all wisdom. He is the Father of spirit children. He is a creator. We can become like our Heavenly Father. This is exaltation." Click to learn more about Exaltation
I continued to pressure them to answer me but then they just made this excuse.
Ethan Foster
9:32 PM
Okay but that still contradicts the Bible in a big way
Morgan
9:33 PM
Alright. Well we aren't here to argue about our beliefs, just to teach people more about it :) Are there any other questions we can help answer for you today?
Ethan Foster
9:38 PM
Why should I believe that your modern day prophet is the true prophet
Morgan
9:41 PM
The only reason you should believe anything we tell you is if you have prayed to Heavenly Father and asked him to reveal to you the truth. If you feel that what we are telling you is true, then you can believe in it :) We really like these verses in the Book of Mormon, which just talk about the importance of praying for yourself to find out what is true :)
"Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts." Moroni 10:3
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." Moroni 10:4

Well I can agree with you to a certain extent. I believe I'm right and you believe you are right. I pray and you pray. I feel it's true and you feel it's true. What is there to distinguish between two people who both sincerely believe that their religion is true.
Sarah 9:48 PM
We completely respect your beliefs. Thank you for being sincere. We have peace about what we believe and do not wish to argue but to share them with others.

That's how I feel about it to it's just if you want to reach people you have to answer some of their questions.
I hate it when Mormons do this because it dodges all the evidence questions and creates another excuse. Feelings are delusional. This is one of the few things I can agree with an atheist on. Believing something just because you feel someway is exactly what is wrong with society today. It’s a dangerous viewpoint. Muslims feel that their belief is true. As a Christian I have feelings that my religion is true. How are we able to distinguish between different beliefs? Feelings can’t determine truth and anyone who thinks that isn’t thinking rationally. Some people have feelings of shooting people but that doesn’t make it right does it? No it doesn’t. Mormonism can’t justify their own standard.
Conclusion
The LDS church has lied to its members for years now. LDS church members are sincere loving people that have been brainwashed by a controlling church. Mormons need to stop believing everything their prophet says but instead find the truth in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
